5th Anniversary Thanksgiving

Jun 27, 2021

Glory be to God for sustaining Ebunlomo Olagunju Foundation for 5 years. We are forever grateful for the life of generosity that was demonstrated daily by the late Mrs. Ruth Ebunlomo Olagunju. Without her actively living a life of generosity, the creation of Ebunlomo Olagunju Foundation would not have happened. When this foundation started, it was birthed out of the desire to honor the late Mrs. Ruth Ebunlomo Olagunju by demonstrating in a big way the continuous love, care, and generosity to the community at large.

Each one of us have an opportunity each day to make an impact in someone’s life. The late Mrs. Ruth Ebunlomo Olagunju was an amazing example and purposed to be a giver. Each one of us has an opportunity every day to live a life of generosity. It is an opportunity that none of us should take lightly.

As we celebrated our 5-year anniversary, we are so grateful for all the foundation has accomplished and the lives that have been touched. Throughout the last 5 years the following impacts have been made:

  1. We have held eleven Mission 1:27 Projects where food has been distributed to the widows and widowers in the community.
  2. An Eyes to See Project where we provided 129 eye screenings, distributed 76 pairs of glasses, and performed 10 cataract surgeries.
  3. Multiple Education Projects with distribution of exercise books and pens to more than 1000 students and over 100 teachers each year in 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019.
  4. Organized a successful Teacher’s Conference to collaborate on how to bring advisement and enrichment to the teachers and student body within the community.
  5. Executed a Community Health Day in partnership with the local medical community to perform medical checks on 220 patients and distribute Malaria medicine as well as other medicines for differing illness of those in need.
  6. Through COVID 19 and continuing forward, we have provided medical supplies and assistance to Igosun Basic Health Center to aid them in providing more comprehensive care to the local community.
  7. Provided financial support to Igosun Progressive Union in their efforts to undertake a massive food distribution during COVID 19 to the community at large.
  8. As an extension of our mission, we support different religious organizations within the community to assist them in their efforts in helping people through varying ministries.
  9. Continuous Acts of Random Kindness (ARK) to help individuals with specific needs as they arise.

We are so grateful to God for continuing to sustain us. We are beyond thankful to all our donors, Board of Trustees, Implementation Committee, and the prayer support of so many around the world. We are Blessed to be a Blessing!
