In 2000 I had a passion, desire and believed that I could actually make a difference in my village by taking the blessing I was experiencing in America and spreading it in my village. Over the years, my wife and I have been able to make a difference. Whether it’s providing support to students, churches, widows, orphans or the community at large, we’ve done whatever we can to be of assistance.

I have traveled to Nigeria several times over the years. Every time that I would go, I would share with friends how very little it takes financially to make a difference. My friends here in the US were always amazed to see how so little can go so far. Many would ask how they could be part of helping me see my dreams of releasing generosity in my village come true.

In 2015, I started dreaming BIG after listening to a sermon at Antioch Church, Woodstock GA. The dream started with so many what ifs…

What if we could provide solar power to take out the darkness of night?
What if we could connect the village to a larger community by way of technology and a library center?
What if we could provide on-going scholarships to students who are committed to the basic principle of paying it forward?
What if we could provide consistent on-going support to the widows and orphans? What if we could provide a better infrastructure to local schools?
What if we could provide increased access to safe drinking water?

In May of 2016 I went for it in the best way I knew how. With ever increasing interest from friends to not only help me realize my dreams but also their compassion to reach out and help others, a GoFundMe campaign was launched for Ebunlomo Olagunju Foundation to begin raising funds to go big in making a difference in my village, Igosun, Kwara State, Nigeria. The compassion in my heart to help others was planted their by God and continuously watered by watching the compassionate and generous spirit of my mother, Mrs. Ruth Ebunlomo Olagunju, the one for which whom the foundation was named. My mother was a widow for over 30 years and would be considered in society as someone that typically wouldn’t have much. She always had enough not only for herself but for others as she continuously gave and gave and gave. No one would leave her house empty handed. My mother would remind me that generosity is not about what you have but truly about the condition of your heart. Givers truly never lack. She was a living example of that.

The continuous financial support for Ebunlomo Olagunju Foundation has been heart warming and overwhelming to say the least. We have been blessed with the opportunity to do so many things and touch many lives in Igosun, Kwara State, Nigeria. Through this support, Ebunlomo Olagunju Foundation officially launched in May of 2016 from Igosun Baptist Church through a time of commissioned prayer. The official day my dream became a reality! Through the love and support of many, Ebunlomo Olagunju Foundation has touched many people and plans to continue to touch peoples lives for as long as God allows. It really doesn’t take much to make a difference in my village. We have given a widow as little as $1 to which was met with overwhelming gratitude. Giving up a cup of coffee, a quick fast food meal or pizza delivery will make a difference in the lives of people in the village. Whatever you feel led to contribute is appreciated but more importantly, I ask for continued prayers. With God ALL things are possible.

Thank you in advance for your compassion and generosity toward my village and the people that reside there! I have an overwhelming passion to see some amazing things happen in my village and you can be part of making that dream come true.

“And the King will answer and say to them, assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.” Matthew 25:40

This project is fun and so very rewarding and together we can make a difference. We are blessed to be a blessing!

Sincerely,
Isaac & Holly Olagunju
