EduQuest 2024: Junior Secondary School Preliminary

Feb 27, 2024

In a thrilling display of academic prowess, the preliminary round for the Junior Secondary School category of the EduQuest 2024 Quiz Competition unfolded, leaving us nothing but gratitude to God! Twelve bright young minds graced the stage, each poised to demonstrate their knowledge and vie for a coveted spot in the Grand Finale. With only six slots available, the competition was fierce, but the determination in their eyes was unwavering.

As the students confidently approached the stage and took their seats, the anticipation in the air was palpable. They knew that only the top performers would secure their places in the ultimate showdown. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as they tackled questions, with their peers in the audience cheering them on every step of the way.

One of the most exhilarating segments of the competition was the Rapid Fire Round. Here, each student faced the challenge of answering rapid-fire questions within a strict time limit. The pressure was on as they randomly selected numbers to determine their order, but their composure under fire was truly commendable.

Among the shining stars of the competition were six exceptional students from Government Secondary School Junior Secondary School and Igosun High School Junior Secondary School, representing a cohort similar to middle school students in the US. After a gripping battle of wits, four contenders from Government Secondary School Junior Secondary School and two from Igosun High School Junior Secondary School emerged victorious, earning their places in the Grand Finale slated for March 9th.

We extend our deepest appreciation to the dedicated members of our Education Committee, the selfless volunteers, and the generous donors whose unwavering support made this event possible. Indeed, the God’s benevolence knows no bounds, and we are humbled to be entrusted with the task of nurturing the seeds of potential that only He can breathe life into through the platform of the Ebunlomo Olagunju Foundation.
