7th Anniversary Thanksgiving
Today is our 7th year anniversary! Seven years ago, we didn’t know what impact we would make but we knew we wanted to make a difference. Looking at 1,000s of pictures to select from to celebrate this milestone quickly shows how far we have come. We return all glory to God for sustaining and using us to be blessing to others. This is the Lord’s doing and it is marvelous in our eyes. In the past seven years, we have accomplished many amazing things listed below:
- We have held sixteen Mission 1:27 Projects where food or funds have been distributed to widows and widowers.
- Provided need based financial assistance to widows and widowers on an individual basis.
- An Eyes to See Project where we provided 129 eye screenings, distributed 76 pairs of glasses, and performed 10 cataract surgeries.
- Multiple Education Projects with distribution of exercise books and pens to more than 1000 students and over 100 teachers each year in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 & 2021
- Organized a successful Teacher’s Conference to collaborate on how to bring advisement and enrichment to the teachers and student body within the Igosun community.
- Provided need based financial assistance to students in Nigeria for their continued education.
- Executed a Community Health Day in Igosun in partnership with the local medical community to perform medical checks on 220 patients and distribute Malaria medicine as well as other medicines for different illnesses of those in need.
- Through COVID 19 and continuing forward, we have provided medical supplies and assistance to Igosun Basic Health Center to aid them in providing more comprehensive care to the local community.
- Provided financial support to Igosun Progressive Union in their efforts to undertake a massive food distribution during COVID 19 to the community at large.
- In our effort to extend our reach, we have partnered with religious organizations to assist them financially in their efforts to help people through varying ministries.
- Through our ARK (Acts of Random Kindness) Program we have assisted individuals with various financial needs.
- Through our No More Darkness we were able to install solar lights around the premises of First Baptist Church Igosun.
We are beyond thankful to all our generous donors, Board of Trustees, Implementation Committee, Education Committee, and the prayer support of so many around the world. We truly are Blessed to be a Blessing!
